I wrote about how the greatest guru is your inner Self. But what happens when we are not connected to the inner Self? We experience separation, and that is the greatest illusion ever created by the human mind.

I felt called to talk about separation from the Self because this is exactly what I experienced recently. My mind started making up all these illusions and false beliefs that were lowering my vibration. I saw the victim mentality crawling up and low vibrational thoughts creeping in. I felt so heavy as if I was Frodo carrying the ring. The painful feeling of being separated from everyone and everything was so uncomfortable that at some point, I made a conscious decision that I will come out of this now. I let myself feel whatever needed to come up at that moment, without identifying myself with my thoughts, feelings and emotions. I was just an observer. I was slowly coming back to myself and slowly reconnecting. When I felt connected with myself again, I experienced oneness with everything else, the whole existence. I felt love for myself and every single creature in this universe. It was so important for me to experience this kind of depth, and I'm infinitely grateful for that. It opened my eyes to how important it is to learn to be connected to my true essence.
Separation is always created by the ego-mind. When we come to our hearts, we know that we are all one. Different pieces of the same diamond, waterdrops of the same ocean, being reflections of each other. Imagine how many conflicts and issues we could prevent if we could realise it as humanity. How much love and light we can create on Earth. Sometimes I imagine that Earth is a school of spiritual forgetfulness where the curriculum is having experiences that awaken a remembrance of our spiritual essence.
